Our mission

Our approach

Classic in structure, individual in expression

Our approach is shaped by deep industry insight — allowing us to source exceptional diamonds and Australian sapphires that are often overlooked or undervalued by the broader market.

This gives our clients access to stones of genuine character and quality, and the freedom to create a ring that feels considered, personal and enduring.

Our collections are built around timeless engagement ring designs — solitaires, three-stones and classic forms — refined through subtle deviations. Individuality comes through the centre stone: unique cuts, natural colour, or provenance-led sapphires that ensure no two rings are ever the same.

The result is jewellery that feels familiar, but never generic. Designed without compromise.

Distinctly Laher. Individually Yours.

Our stones

Stones of genuine character

The House of Australian Sapphires

Laher defines the premium standard for Australian sapphires — rare, precision-cut stones found nowhere else, each celebrated for its individuality.

For decades, Australian sapphires have been undervalued — overlooked in favour of imported stones that fit a narrower idea of perfection. But beneath the surface lies a world of colour and character unlike anything else on Earth: eucalyptus greens, vibrant teals, and untamed parti blends that no other region can produce.

We work directly with miners, cutters and craftspeople to bring these remarkable gems to light — each one documented, precision-cut, and archived as part of a living record of Australian provenance.

Provenance: Subera, Queensland

The House of Unique Diamonds

Laher defines a considered standard for unique diamonds — from naturally coloured stones to rare and unconventional cuts — selected to sit at the centre of timeless engagement ring designs.

Set within classic forms, these stones create rings that feel familiar in structure, yet entirely individual in expression.

FAQs

Good to know

How long does it take to create a Laher engagement ring?

Each bespoke ring typically takes 6–8 weeks from design approval to completion. This allows us to source your gemstone, complete CAD designs, and finish the piece with our jewellers.

Are your sapphires and diamonds ethically sourced?

Yes. Provenance is central to our work. We source Australian sapphires directly from miners and cutters we know and trust, and all diamonds meet strict ethical and traceability standards.

Where are your sapphires from?

Our Australian sapphires are sourced directly from Subera (Rubyvale), Queensland.

Do you require a deposit to start the process?

Yes. A deposit secures your chosen gemstone and begins the design process. The remaining balance is only due once your ring is complete.

Can I use my own gemstone or heirloom in a Laher design?

Yes. We regularly work with family heirlooms and client-supplied stones. Our team will assess the gem to make sure it's suitable for re-setting and advise on the best way to incorporate it into your design.

Do you ship outside Sydney and Melbourne?

Yes. We ship domestically and internationally, insured and tracked, so your piece arrives securely wherever you are.

Where are Laher rings made?

All of our rings are designed and made by our team of jewellers in our Surry Hills studio, Sydney.

Do you provide aftercare or cleaning?

Yes. We recommend bringing your ring back once a year for a complimentary clean and check, to keep the setting and stone secure. Any time you're near a studio, drop in and the team can give your piece a professional polish.
